Finland-based steelmaker Ruukki has announced that it will supply steel structures worth €10 million for an ilmenite smelter to be built in Saudi Arabia by Finnish mining and metal manufacturing equipment provider Outotec. Ruukki's delivery will include the steel frame structures and wall and roof cladding.

Manufacture of the structures to be delivered by Ruukki will mainly take place at the Bolintin Deal plant in Romania. Manufacture and deliveries will start in autumn this year and are scheduled to be completed during spring 2013.

Ruukki emphasized the significance of this joint delivery of frame and wall elements, adding that the company has the advantage of good logistics links provided by its plant in Romania.
