Russia’s Svobodny Sokol increases pipe production in January-April

In January-April of the current year, Russia's Lipetsk Iron Works (Svobodny Sokol) saw its cast iron production fall by 2.4 times compared to the same period last year, declining to 72,700 mt. Meanwhile, production of pipes from high-strength cast iron with spherical graphite increased by 2.2 times year on year to 23,900 mt.

In the given period, Svobodny Sokol's cast iron sales decreased by 3.1 times to 56,000 mt, while its sales of pipes increased by 1.5 times to 23,900 mt, both compared to January-April 2010.
