Russia’s crude steel output down 1.8 percent in November

Russia's crude steel production in the November this year amounted to 5.6 million mt, down 1.8 percent, while its finished steel output totaled 4.8 million mt, down 3.5 percent, both on month-on-month basis, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). In the same month, Russia’s long steel output decreased by 12 percent compared to October to 1.4 million mt. In addition, in November, the country’s coated flat product production showed a decrease of 15 percent, while its hot dip galvanized (HDG) product output declined by 28.6 percent, both compared to the previous month.
 
Meanwhile, in November, Russia’s hot rolled sheet production reached 1.5 million mt, increasing by 4.3 percent, while its cold rolled product output decreased by 4.5 percent 700,000 mt, both compared to the previous month.
