According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, up to April 1 2009 Ukraine utilized 5.01 percent of its new annual quota for rebar exports to Russia and 94.36 percent of its annual quota for cold rolled steel exports to the same destination, supplying a total of 18,204 metric tons and 193,447 metric tons respectively.
According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, the yearly quota for Ukraine regarding rebar exports to Russia is 363,000 metric tons for 2009.
Meanwhile, also according to the agreement between the countries, Ukraine's yearly quota for cold rolled exports to Russia stands at 205,000 metric tons for the 12 months from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
