Russian ferrous metal producers increase exports

Russia's Federal Customs Service announced that in the first nine months of 2005, Russian ferrous metal producers reported export sales revenue of $14.01 billion, up 27.4 percent from the $10.99 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2004. During the January-September period, Russia exported 37.5 million tons of ferrous metals, 8.152 million tons of rolled products, 10.498 million tons of semi-finished products, and 627'800 tons of ferro-alloys.
