The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy has announced that the Russian Federation's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) has decided to terminate its antidumping investigation into imports of ferromanganese (FeMn) from Ukraine.

According to the Ukraine's minister of economy Anatoliy Kinakh, MEDT decided not to apply any antidumping measures against imports of FeMn from Ukraine so as to allow the stable supplies of this ferroalloy to the Russian market of a value of $40 million per year.

MEDT had initiated the antidumping investigation into imports of Ukrainian FeMn on July 29, 2005. It had been expected at the time that Russia would impose an antidumping duty of 7-25 percent on imports of Ukrainian FeMn.
