Russia issues January-September production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-September period of the current year Russia registered a six percent rise in its rolled steel product output to 46.9 million mt, a five percent increase in its crude steel output to 53.5 million mt and a 6.6 percent rise in its pig iron production to 38 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw an 8.2 percent decrease year on year in its steel pipe production to 7.2 million mt.
 
In addition, in January-September Russia produced 258 million mt of coal and 20.5 million mt of metallurgical coke, up 7.4 percent and 0.5 percent respectively compared to the same period last year.
