Meanwhile, in July this year, Russia's finished steel product output went up by 4.1 percent, and its pig iron output increased by 1.5 percent, both compared to June.
In July, Russia's coal output went up by 3.6 percent month on month, its metallurgical coke production increased by 1.6 percent, its iron ore concentrate output rose by 0.5 percent, while its iron ore pellet and briquette output decreased by 11.2 percent, all compared to June this year.
According to the data released by the World Steel Association, in the January-July period of the current year Russia raised its crude steel output by 18.7 percent year on year to 38.28 million mt. Meanwhile, in July, the country saw its crude steel production increase by three percent month on month to about 5.6 million mt.
