RINL achieves turnover of INR 114 billion in April-December 2017

Indian steelmaker Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has announced that it has registered a significant performance in all areas of its operations despite very difficult circumstances during the April-December period of last year. The company’s turnover for the given period was INR 114 billion ($1.8 billion).

In 2017, RINL increased its capacity to 7.3 million mt per year. The company produced 3.65 million mt of pig iron, 3.54 million mt of crude steel, while finished steel sales amounted to 3.19 million mt in the April-December period of 2017, rising by 13 percent, 15 percent and 15 percent, respectively. In the November-December period last year, RINL’s finished steel sales reached 1 million mt, with a turnover of INR 20 billion ($314.9 million).
