PT Krakatau Steel completes renovation of hot strip mill

Market sources report that, Indonesian steel producer PT Krakatau Steel has completed upgrading its hot strip mill at its Cilegon works. With this renovation, annual production at the mill will increase by 20%. The company also plans to increase its capacity gradually. In line with this, earlier this year the company renovated its cold rolling mill. The annual production capacity of this renovated mill increased to 950'000 tons from the previous capacity of 650'000 tons.
