South Korean steelmaker POSCO will establish a group-wide brand management system taking the group's 42nd anniversary of its establishment as a starting point.

According to a company press release, in a commemorative speech for the 42nd year of the establishment of POSCO, chairman Chung Joon-yang announced the establishment and execution of the new system to employees and the public.

Accordingly, POSCO will heighten management synergy between group companies and continuously protect the POSCO brand value through systematic and strengthened brand management, contributing to achieving the goal of becoming a global company with annual sales of KRW 100 trillion by 2018.

A Brand Management Committee will deliberate and make decisions on brand related issues, and establish a group-wide continuous improvement system for use according to regulations. Through systematic brand sharing activities, POSCO will promote its corporate value and spread a brand mindset throughout group companies.
