POSCO reports Q3 results

Korean steel making giant POSCO has reported its net profit as Won 500 billion for the third quarter of 2003 with a 32% increase compared to Won 377.7 billion recorded in the same period last year. Furthermore, company's sales rose by 18% to Won 3.6 trillion in July-September period while operating profit was up by 23% to Won 721 billion. The preliminary figures are based on unaudited financial statements and South Korean accounting standards.
