The South Korean steel producer POSCO is reportedly in talks with officials from North Korea to increase its supplies of coal and iron ore from this country.

If the parties reach agreement, the volume of coal supplies from North Korea to the world's fourth steelmaker may double. The additional supplies of coal and iron ore are to help POSCO to meet rising demand and to reduce costs.
