Poland’s passenger car output up 14 percent in March over February

According to a report released by Poland's Automotive Market Research Institute (SAMAR), in March this year Poland's production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a slight decrease of 0.09 percent year on year, totaling 89,751 units.
 
In March, passenger cars constituted 91.7 percent of Poland's total monthly motor vehicle output. Production of passenger cars in March amounted to 81,210 units, increasing by 13.45 percent month on month and down 0.09 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Polish production of light commercial vehicles amounted to 8,541 units in March, up 31.62 percent over February and up 53.09 percent year on year.
 
In the first quarter of 2010, the country's passenger car production amounted to 223,071 units, while its light commercial vehicle output totaled 20,279 units, increasing by 10.26 percent and 33.19 percent respectively, both compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
