Poland aims to sell its two long product mills

Polish government is preparing to hold a tender with the purpose of selling off the country's two long product mills, namely Huta Ostrowiec and Huta Baildon. The official announcement for tender is expected to be published this week on local newspapers. Industry reports refer to existence of several interested parties for these two longs mills, particularly for Huta Ostrowiec, which produces reinforcing bars. This mill went bankrupt in 2002. The other mill Huta Baildon is a specialty long products producer, went bankrupt in the year 2000.
