Pipe mill of Saw Pipes restarts to operate

Through an investment of $30 million from Indian steel producer Jindal Stainless Steel, Saw Pipes has recently restarted operation at its Baytown pipe mill in Texas. In August, production of the mill was stopped due to insufficient slab supply. However, officials from Jindal, depending on US government's plans to renovate gas pipe lines in the area, state that monthly production of the mill will be 20'000 tons from November onwards.
