Philippines mulls safeguard duty extension for steel angle bar imports

The Philippine Tariff Commission has announced that it is investigating the possibility of a final extension of the safeguard measure against steel angle bar imports. The petition for the investigation was filed by the Steel Angles, Shapes and Sections Manufacturers Association of the Philippines on September 19.
 
The products subject to investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7216.21.00 and 7216.50.10.
