Philippine auto sales decline by 11 percent in May

On June 9, the Philippine Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association reported that total domestic sales of automotive vehicles in May this year decreased by 11 percent year on year to 10,913 units.
 
The March 11 earthquake in Japan has contributed to low auto stocks in the Philippines. Sources tell SteelOrbis that Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi has the highest sales volume in the auto market in the Philippines.
