Pakistan's iron and steel imports up 4.17 percent in Dec over Nov

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 134,911 mt in December last year, increasing 27.05 percent compared to November and up 11.20 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistic (PFBS). The value of these imports in December was $56.19 million, increasing by 21.04 percent month on month and up 20.62 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in December amounted to 122,450 mt, decreasing by 16.52 percent on year-on-year basis and up 4.17 percent compared to the previous month. In the period in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $100.11 million, increasing by 14.45 percent year on year.
