Outotec to supply two pelletizing plants to Shougang Jingtang

Finnish mining and metal manufacturing equipment provider Outotec has announced that it will supply two iron ore pelletizing plants for Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. in Caofeidian, China. The contract value of the plants is over €40 million. The plants are expected to be commissioned in 2019.

According to Outotec, the two pelletizing plants, each with an annual capacity of four million mt of iron ore pellets, will be based on Outotec's modern traveling grate technology, which enables large capacities with low operational costs and low energy consumption.
