OMK’s foundry-rolling complex increases HR flat steel output in 2012

Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that in December last year its foundry-rolling complex produced 93,000 mt of hot rolled flat steel, most consisting of hot rolled coil (HRC) but also including 17,000 mt of steel sheets and 32,000 mt of steel strips. In December last year, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK shipped a total of 94,000 mt of steel products.
 
In the whole year of 2012, the OMK complex produced 1.1 million mt of hot rolled flat steel, up four percent compared to 2011, mostly including HRC but also including 218,000 mt of steel sheets and 257,000 mt of steel strips. In the given period, the complex shipped 1.1 million mt of hot rolled coil, sheet and strip, up seven percent year on year.
