Olympic Steel reports $115.9 million loss for Q3

North American steel service center Olympic Steel Inc. reported its sales as $115.9 million for the third quarter of 2003, down by 0.5% from $116.5 million recorded in the third quarter of 2002. The company sold 302'000 tons with a 8.7% increase in the aforementioned period when compared to 278'000 reported in the same period last year. The company's net loss amounted to $115'000 in the third quarter against $150'000 recorded in the third quarter of 2002. Furthermore, net loss for the first nine months of 2003 was $1.1 million compared to net loss of $2.4 million in the corresponding period last year.
