OEMK plans to install a six-strand continuous caster

Russian mill OEMK, which produces special bar quality (SBQ) products, has announced that it will install a new six-strand continuous caster at its mill. The caster is ordered from Switzerland's Concast. With the installation of the new caster, the company will possess Convex Technology, in which mould tube producing machine and billet making machine are present. Moreover, the caster will produce square sections of 150 and 170 mm. The products will be SBQ steel grades. The installation of the caster will commence by late 2004.
