OECD talks about the draft agreement for steel subsidy bans delayed

Organization for Economic Corporation and Development (OECD) has delayed the meeting that was scheduled to take place on May 11-12, 2004 as different views about draft agreement regarding steel subsidy bans have emerged. According to the statement released from OECD, talks regarding steel subsidy ban are determined to be postponed till June 17-18, 2004. As reported by SteelOrbis yesterday, one of the countries objecting to the draft agreement regarding steel subsidy bans was India. India is of the opinion that, the draft agreement should be altered as steel subsidy bans will be effected without making any discrimination between developed and developing countries.
