Certain Nucor bar mills, including Nucor Steel Kankakee and Nucor Steel Birmingham, have announced immediate price reductions for 20-foot rebars, a commonly imported size.
Effective with shipments as of August 2, these mills will lower prices for 20-foot rebar in sizes 10mm (#3) to 19mm (#6), grade 40 to 60.
Nucor Steel Kankakee will reduce the price of these rebars by $30 /nt ($33 /mt or $1.50 cwt.), while Nucor Steel Birmingham will reduce the price of these rebars by $40 /nt ($44 /mt or $2.00 cwt.), excluding shipments made within the state of Florida.
