NLMK to increase slab shipments in October

In October, Russian steelmaker NLMK plans to increase slab exports by more than two times compared to September to 565,000 mt thanks to the start of operations at its third converter with a capacity of 3-3.3 million mt per year at the end of September. In total, NLMK plans to produce up to 900,000 mt of steel in October, up 20 percent compared to September, and 870,000 mt of steel products, up 30 percent month on month.

In the January-September period of the current year, NLMK produced 7 million mt of crude steel, up two percent compared to the same period of last year, and 6.6 million mt of steel products, up two percent year on year.
