In 2006, VIZ-Stal recorded a 50.9 percent decrease in its non-grain-oriented steel
production, while showing a 6.9 percent increase in its grain-oriented steel output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 16,000 and 180,000.

Altai-koks increased its 2006 coke
production by nine percent year on year to almost three million metric tons.
Commenting on the results,
NLMK said in its release that the decrease in the company's 2006 HR
production was due to a shift in
NLMK's product portfolio to high value-added products, such as HDG, pre-painted steel and grain-oriented steel, in the
production of which it saw remarkable results.
