Russian steelmaking company Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has dismissed market speculation over its possible acquisition of Russian coal company Sibuglemet.

NLMK said that it is not in discussions relating to the possible acquisition of Sibuglemet nor is it in talks to acquire any of its assets.

Sibuglemet plays a prominent role in the fuel and energy market of Russia's Kuzbass region and is one of the top-level companies of the country's coal industry.
