Japan-based Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it has joined forces with Japanese steel distributor Nippon Steel Trading Corporation to implement a hydrogen project in Thailand.

Accordingly, together with Nippon Steel Trading, Honda will explore the feasibility of a project that will produce green hydrogen using solar power in Rojana industrial park in Thailand operated by the former, as well as store and transport it within the given location.

In the meantime, companies located in the park will be able to use the hydrogen in several applications such as stationary fuel cell (FC) power stations and FC-powered trucks.

The duo aims to contribute to global decarbonization efforts by creating a hydrogen ecosystem that includes hydrogen production and utilization.
