Ningxia to eliminate further 600,000 mt of backward coke capacity

According to the Economic and Information Commission of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Chinese region plans to eliminate another 600,000 mt of backward annual metallurgical coke capacity, bringing the total backward or outdated annual coke production capacity to be eliminated in the region in 2012 to 2.55 million mt.
 
The additional 600,000 mt of annual coke output capacity earmarked for elimination includes 300,000 mt at Ningxia Shenggang Coal and Coking Co, 150,000 mt at Ningxia Yanxin Smelting Co., and 150,000 mt at Qingtongxia Futong Acetylith Co.
