New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey down 39.1% in November

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased by 39.1 percent year on year to 66,578 units and were up by 74.7 percent on month-on-month basis.

New passenger car registrations in November totaled 44,676 units, rising by 140.9 percent as compared to October and decreasing by 35.4 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 67.1 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in November amounted to 9,797 units, up by 129 percent month on month and down 48 percent year on year. Small truck registrations constituted 10.1 percent of total new registrations in November.
