New iron ore deposit discovered in Qinghai, China

According to a statement issued on October 19 by the Department of Land and Resources of China's Qinghai Province, a new iron ore deposit has been discovered in the Galinge mining area in the city of Golmud in Qinghai, with estimated iron ore reserves of 62.9214 million metric tons.

Since the Galinge Iron Ore Exploration Project was initiated in 2009, over 100 million mt of iron ore reserves have now been discovered in the Galinge mining area of Qinghai Province.
