New foreign investment in China up 19.8 percent in July

According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC), in July this year the number of new enterprises established in China with foreign investment reached 2,138, an increase of 2.69 percent year on year. New foreign investments in China during the month in question amounted to $8.3 billion, rising by 19.83 percent over July 2010.

During the first seven months of 2011, the number of new enterprises established in China with foreign investment totaled 15,600, up 7.89 percent year on year. In the same period, new foreign investments in China reached $69.2 billion, up 18.57 percent compared to the same period of 2010.
