New bonds issued by local governments in China total RMB 612.8 billion in June 2026

New bonds issued by local governments in China in June this year amounted to RMB 612.8 billion ($90.3 billion), accounting for 53.3 percent of the overall bonds issued by local governments, according to China's Ministry of Finance.

In the first six months, new bonds issued by local governments in China totaled RMB 2.4475 trillion ($0.36 trillion). In the given period, the funds have been directed primarily toward key sectors including infrastructure development and public welfare.
