Net profit increases by 54.4 percent at Siderperu in Q1 2026

The Peruvian steel producer Siderperu announced a net profit of $14.639 million for the first quarter of 2026, 54.4 percent more than the $9.483 million achieved in the same period of 2025.

The company attributes the sharp rise in net profit to higher sales volumes, stronger operational efficiency, and lower financial costs.

Net sales increased by 18.2 percent to $108.409 million, production costs increased by 14.6 percent to $154.431 million, the gross profit increased by 45.4 percent to $26.068 million and the operational profit increased by 54.6 percent to $21.689 million.

Controlled by the Brazilian Gerdau group, Siderperu has a production capacity of 750,000 metric tons (mt) per year.

Siderperu reports its results in Peruvian New Soles (PEN), converted here at a rate of PEN 3.51/USD.
