NBS: China’s manufacturing PMI unchanged at 49.4 percent in June

The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China’s manufacturing sector was at 49.4 percent in June of the current year, remaining stable compared to May, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In June, the production index for China's manufacturing sector was down 0.4 percentage points compared to May, decreasing to 51.3 percent, while the new order index for the sector decreased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month to 49.6 percent.

The raw material inventory index for China's manufacturing sector was at 48.2 percent in June, up 0.8 percentage points compared to the previous month.        

Also in June, the employment index for China's manufacturing sector stood at 46.9 percent, down 0.1 percentage point, while the supplier delivery time index for the sector in question was at 50.2 percent, down 0.7 percentage points, both month on month.
