National Steel net loss for the last quarter of 2002

National Steel, based in Mishawaka, Indiana stated that due to reduction in costs and expenses Q4 net loss for year 2002 has been decreased from $280.3 million to $65 million, when compared to the same period previous year. Besides sales have increased to $653.1 million while sales number for the last quarter of 2001 was $592.7 million. According to the company, although a slight increase is expected in first quarter shipments a loss is still forecasted for the quarter.
