National contingency coal reserve base at Zhuhai put into operation

On July 25, an inauguration ceremony was held for a new national contingency coal reserve base at the port of Gaolan in the city of Zhuhai, China.
 
The first phase of the national contingency coal reserve base at Zhuhai was constructed by Shenhua Group Co., Guangdong Yudean Group Co. and Zhuhai Port Co. With an annual handling capacity of 40 million mt, the first phase was built with an investment of approximately RMB 0.4 billion ($621million). Upon completion of the second phase, the annual handling capacity will reach 60 million mt.
