Murchison inks supply contracts with two Chinese mills

Australian junior mining company Perth-based Murchison Metals announced that it had secured two fixed price, fixed tonnage contracts with two Chinese steel mills. The two contracts total 350'000 metric tons per annum and are expected to bring in revenue of $30 million during the first year of production. The managing director of the company indicated that Murchison would focus on smaller steelmakers in Asia, many of whom failed to secure contracts with mining giant BHP Billiton.
