A molten steel explosion at ATI Flat Rolled Products in Harrison Township, Pennsylvania Tuesday night was reportedly sparked when a contractor cleaning a slag pot accidently allowed molten scrap to come into contact with water.

No injuries were reported, although it is not yet know if production will be affected.

The explosion could be heard up to 10 miles away.
