MOC: Average steel prices in China edge down during May 23-29

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the May 23-29 period the overall average finished steel price in China edged down slightly.

In the given period, the average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, and hot rolled coil (HRC) moved down by 1.6 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the same period, the average price of thermal coal rose by 0.2 percent, while the average price of coking coal decreased by 0.2 percent, week on week.
