MOC: Average finished steel price in China up three percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 13-19) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 3.0 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and channels in China rose by 3.8 percent, 3.5 percent and 3.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 3.0 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 4.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and anthracite coal both moved down by 0.2 percent, while the average price of coking coal increased by 0.3 percent, all week on week.
