MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 9-15) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.5 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod and channels in China increased by 0.7 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China rose by 2.8 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China edged up by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal increased by 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
