MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China rose by 0.5 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, and common medium steel plate in China increased by 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, week on week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the price of coking coal decreased by 0.1 percent, while the price of thermal coal remained stable, though the price of anthracite coal rose by 0.1 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.1 percent week on week.
