China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (October 9-15) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of cold rolled common steel sheet, common steel plate, high-speed wire rod and rebar in China increased by 0.5 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 1.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 5.3 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.6 percent week on week. In particular, prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal increased by 0.7 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, all compared to the previous week.
