MOC: Average finished steel price in China down one percent

On June 16, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (June 8-14) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 1.0 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of welded steel pipe and common medium plate in China declined by 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) rose by 1.6 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal declined by 0.4 percent, fell by 0.3 percent and remained stable week on week, respectively.
