On July 14, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (July 6- July 12) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 2.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled strip and equal angles in China declined by 2.7 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 2.9 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 5.5 percent compared to the previous week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.4 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal and thermal coal declined by 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent respectively week on week, while the price of anthracite coal remained stable week on week.
