MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.1 percent

On August 18, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (August 10-16) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of common hot rolled sheet and H-beam in China decreased by 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) rose by 1.7 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the average price of coking coal remained unchanged week on week.
