MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.7 percent

On September 8, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (August 31-September 6) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.7 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of rebar and I-beam in China decreased by 1.0 percent and 0.9 percent week on week, respectively. In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and anthracite coal declined by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of coking coal remained stable week on week.
