China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 10-16) the overall average finished steel price in China edged down by one percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, common medium steel plate and steel channel in China decreased by 1.3 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the price of coking coal remained stable, while the price of thermal coal edged down by 0.2 percent, though the price of anthracite coal rose by 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.5 percent week on week.
